Community Project: Kerem Shalom

Posted on August 25, 2010 By meaton (Edit) 1 Comment

We try to have an impact on the local community where we can, and we try to do it by helping create spaces where people gather and develop either intellectually or physically and connect with the community (past and present) and each other. We want to foster a sense of context and understanding in people.

This is the motivation behind several community projects in our portfolio, including the Kerem Shalom, an unaffiliated Jewish community center in Concord, Mass.

The Kerem Shalom synagogue is an innovative design solution for a challenging site, bound by existing wetlands and a nearby highway. Thoughtforms assisted the client in meeting their budget and schedule, which allowed the congregation to focus on their diverse religious, educational and social needs in one facility.

Stay tuned for profiles on some of our other community projects!
